Art Backstory
Quilted Hollow began as a simple idea: to blend the craft traditions of the Bluegrass with the rural landscapes that feel like home.
I wanted the barn to feel as if it had been stitched together over generations, with each panel carrying its own story. From there, the scene grew into a full patchwork landscape—hills, sky, trees, and fields pieced together like fabric sewn by hand.
The design developed over several sessions as I layered in new patterns, colors, and textures. I drew inspiration from Kentucky quilting traditions, including classic star blocks, log cabin motifs, and the warm tones of handmade textiles.
The finished piece blends nostalgia and whimsy, honoring rural life while celebrating the makers who keep quilting traditions alive. It is a love letter to Kentucky—stitched, patched, and pieced together like the stories that make this place home.
